How would I describe Mary’s Downtown Salsa?
I’ll steal from my friend JoAnn Marrell (as she mentioned that she normally doesn’t like tomatoes) – she said “What is great about your salsa is you can taste all the flavors – you don’t just taste tomatoes”.
Mary’s Downtown Salsa is made in Brevard County, with ALL fresh produce that is purchased locally. There are no “secret” ingredients – just the right blends of high quality produce and spices that create a salsa that is full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. Of course, everyone’s “HEAT METER” is different, but for the majority of my customers – the MEDIUM flavor is the most desired. The MEDIUM heat is one that is packed full of flavor with just a little burn at the finish – the “after-burner”. The MILD version is created with the same base of fresh produce – just half the amount of jalapenos. Because Mary’s Downtown Salsa is made with fresh produce – if you like it HOTTER – you can chop up another jalapeno or two, mix it into the current flavor and it will blend in nicely to create the higher degree of heat you desire. We also are happy to create a hotter version for you by special order.
